Giovanni`s Restaurant in Austell

The food is decent. I'm not Italian but I do love the food, sorry to say I've had better. Went in for lunch was the only one there or so I thought. While eating a roach was running around keeping me company. Needless to say I didn't finish the Eggplant Appetizer I ordered.

We have been looking for a good Italian place for a while. I think we found it. Pizza was perfect and garlic knots were excellent.

This place is a diamond in the rough. I thought it would be a cheesy strip mall cafe. All their ingredients are fresh. Including the Artichoke Garnish on the Chicken Cacciatore. Who uses Fresh Artichokes in a restaurant any more?! Apparently these guys. Well done

I was always going to Ippilitos but they closed on Barrett Parkway so I had to find another place. Vincents in marietta is horrible, truly. A friend suggested Giovanni's. We went to try them out on a Sunday and it was packed. The owners came up to us and told us that he could seat us but they had a party of 30 come in and it would be a wait to receive our food. We appreciated the honesty and came back on Tuesday for lunch. We loved it! the garlic rolls are a meal in themselves. I had eggplant parmigiana and it was perfection. We had a great time and it is definitely our new go to place for dinner when we want to impress a date:)

I have dreams of this italian food. I moved to Marietta for a year and ate here at least once a week. Any time I go back to the Atlanta area I HAVE to stop here. By far the best Italian food I've had anywhere in the country. I can't wait till my next visit to the area so I can eat here again. Simply amazing food.

Only thing I can say is I have driven by this place and never stopped-that was a huge mistake. After they eaned the golden spatula award, we decided to go. OMG, this is the most delicious food we have ever eaten. Everything was fresh and outstanding. Everyone must try this restaurant. The owner runs the place and the cooking is home made and from scratch. Very high marks from us. We will be back!!

Good food. This was my second time there for lunch. Wish the ambiance would be better. In an odd location. I like Italian restaurants with the "old world" feel.

Best Italian hands down in GA! From the moment we walked in, beautiful restaurant, Italian feel, the aroma of great good. I ordered pizza, I NEVER order pizza at an Italian spot but this sauce was bomb, my bf had Shrimp scampi, I ended up dipping my pizza in it WAS SO GOOD!!! Perfect for a casual lunch and romantic feel for a date night spot! Service was on point, with drinks, napkins to how the food was. Perfect! We will be back! A HIDDEN GEM for sure!

My family enjoyed a quaint and elegant afternoon at this restaurant. This was our first time and we were very pleased with the pizza and the salad! The waiters were very nice and attentive. I shall come back!!

I meet with friends this great spot a lot! This is my favorite restaurant to have a bite. I go to this spot routinely. The cooking is fantastic, the workers are welcoming and the payment is fair. I like going in this restaurant for a decent meal.

Last week was our first time in this fine restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the high quality dishes and wine and with the honest cost. We will no doubt visit there soon.

Nice Italian spot on the connector with good vibes and great food. Try the Lobster Ravioli or the Stuffed Shells Melanese...its ottimo cibo!

Was in the neighborhood and wanted to meet some friends for dinner. Saw this place, thought why not. Atmosphere was very relaxing, owner served us, and was very cordial and attentive. Food was the best Italian I've had in a long time, and I grew up on Italian food. Better than any chain, even the better chains.

Had lunch with the wife here yesterday, and the food was excellent! My wife is Italian and has marked this as her new favorite spot for Italian food.

Nicest restaurant owner I've ever met. If you have an issue he promptly takes care of it, no questions asked. Everything on the menu is great and the wait staff/cleanliness/ambiance are second to none. Awesome place for a night out!

So if you went to whole foods and purchased the best meat and vegetables, and cheese, and then happened to have an Italian Grandma to cook it all.... Ok I'm exaggerating a little, but not much. The prices are the same as olive garden but the quality and taste is. Well there are people that honestly like McDonald's more than chick fila or five guys .. even if you're one of those people you won't be disappointed by Giovanni's. Then there's Giovanni. It's worth going just to say hi to him ... And yes he's the guy the restaurant is named after, and the owner, and he's there, and he really cares, and you can taste it in the food.

The environment was very nice and quaint. The service was SUPERB!! My family and I really enjoyed the food. I had always driven by but never patronized, I am truly regretting that. If you havent had their food please drop in you will not be disappointed!!

The downside about this restaurant is its location. It is behind trees with a small sign to accommodate for it, however once you find your way you will notice a very nice and authentic Italian restaurant. When we walked in we were surprised to see Giovanni himself as our waiter! There was great service and my father, who claims to be a restaurant critic, really enjoyed and admired the authenticity of it. Will definitely go again to try more off the menu!

I placed a pickup order for stuffed shells. On the menu it says beef and ricotta cheese but as you can see no beef at all in my shells. I ordered a side of meat sauce and most Italian restaurants you don’t have to wait because meat sauce is commonly used. I had to wait extra for the meat sauce and it was disgusting and super oily!!! The rolls were old and the salad come on now just look for yourself. Good reviews are from ppl with no taste buds

This restaurant is amazing and broad, the food was yummy and the prices were very fair. quickly, efficient service and very affable waiters. I highly recommend this place.

Really good Italian food

Giovanni's is a quaint little Italian restaurant. The food is comfort food and the owner is a sweet guy who is always working on the floor. I would highly recommend this place as we still go back even though we live across town.

A great place for a quite dinner for 2. Fairly reasonable prices. Food served is respectable and tasty. Clean tables and floor and a high score of 98 from health department inspectors. You'll have to look a little hard to find Giovanni's it is hidden from view. Looking for a quite romantic dinner with your loved one than this is the spot.

My father and I, celebrated mine and his 70th birthday @ Giovanni's. From the time we got there, we received the best customer service. The food was delicious and the atmosphere definitely warm, friendly and cozy. My husband and I live an hour away, but the restaurant was closer to my parents, and my mother referred us to this restaurant. I must tell you that I will do the hour drive again, just to eat here. We really enjoyed everything.

They are open for fine in! This was my first time at the restaurant. We met Giovanni and family. Very nice gentlemen. Now the food.... The food is outstanding. Some of the flavors brought me back to a time I spent in Italy. Very large portions. I had the tortellini with pink sauce and meatballs. I am a connoisseur of meatballs and these are outstanding. The garlic knots are amazing. My wife ordered the veal marsala which she indicated was very good. Very pleasant experience and I was happy to support the local business. We will be back and encourage all to get over there.

We didn't actually eat in the restaurant. We did however order takeout for over 30 people and every dish was fantastic. The pizza really exceeded my expectations!
